Shower

On Sunday after we went to the flea market, we headed to my sister's house for my baby shower. I was so excited the night before that I barely slept. I was really just excited to see all my friends in one place at one time since it's usually always hard to see everyone when we come in town. And I love parties, especially parties that are thrown for me! It was great to see everyone and my sister did a wonderful job hosting the shower. Here are a few pictures.

Me opening gifts.

The little one now has her first pair of tiny Vans with matching bib.

My grandma says to Jill (a hairstylist), "what do you call that haircut you have?"

Jill says, "a mullet!" My grandma says, "well, if you cut my hair, I don't want one of those." Ha.

My sister made everything look nice.

My mom, me and my sister.

My very first friends when I moved to Atlanta in 7th grade, Lee and Megan (and me in the middle). I still have a box full of notes from both of them from middle and high school. What a hoot to read.

Later, it was picture time with the boys, Wyatt and Cash. The party was so much fun! Thanks sis!

Dear Leigh,
You look so beautiful and happy at your shower. The vans are just too cute. I also have to say however, I love those pictures above the fireplace. Glad you are having a good time.

Glad you had a happy shower! I am giving a baby shower in a couple of weeks and wondered....do we have to play games?? Can't we just open presents and eat?

Oh how lovely, you guys look so great together, you look just like your mom, I hadn't noticed that before. I hope you got everything you wanted! :)

Hi Pamela,

I don't know much about throwing showers, but I don't think you have to play games. We just did the guess the belly size with ribbon sort of game. Really though we just spent time together.

Hey Lisa,

I have the third picture that matches, or came with, the other two you see there. They are Picasso pastel drawings and all have the same frame. I love them and think the three should be together, but for now my sister has two and I have one. My mom got them at an estate sale in Virginia years ago.

Leigh,

Thanks for sharing your special day with us! Your mom is beautiful; I see where you and your sister take after her!
Your nephews are precious! Enjoy your visit!

I like mullets. Where I come from you definitely need to wear high waisted jeans and an off the shoulder tee shirt with your mullet. Yep. Lovely blog that I've never been to before! Thank you for having me! x pip

ps - i am sadly lacking in mullet-ness... sigh
