Forgotten Stitches

A few weeks ago I was at Brixton Village Market and spotted some amazing dolls in a shop window. I love dolls and had to get a closer look at these beauties. Just look at her eyes and hair! The detail and craftsmanship is amazing. The tags said the dolls were by Forgotten Stitches. I snapped a few photos and came home to look up who creates these lovely ladies. As it turns out, it happens to be someone I see a few times a week!
Rebekah, the incredibly creative person who makes these dolls (and much more), works around the corner from me, and I see her all the time. Small world, huh? She brought in one of her dolls for me to look at and it was really wonderful. Their embroidered faces, their hair, their hand stitched vintage clothes, are all something to marvel at. She also makes other soft friends and some very pretty accessories. Have a look at her etsy shop and blog for more images and information on her beautiful work. Or you can see her work in person in London at the Crafty Fox market on 7 & 8 December and again on 14 December. (The top two photos I took with my iPhone and the others are from Rebekah's etsy site and blog.)
