Bonjour!

Greetings from Paris! We're in Paris this week, and I can't tell you how beautiful it is. The weather is perfect. Yesterday was a perfect spring day--sunny, blue sky, crisp air, warm in the sun, cool in the shade. It looks like today will be the same. We spent the afternoon at Luxembourg Gardens yesterday. It's a wonderful place for kids. More on that soon, but for now I'm adding things to my map. Do you have any Paris favorites? Let me know! I've started working on my map, which is here if you're interested in some of my favorites. Image above found here.

San Francisco for Mollie Makes

In issue 25 of Mollie Makes is an article I wrote on San Francisco shops in the Mission. I'm really happy with this one and sorry I didn't share it sooner! Issue 26 is already out on news stands but if you're interested in San Francisco shops that sell vintage and handmade items, you can read my article here below. And you can also get a back copy here. I also took the photos for this one while we were there in November, and overall I'm really happy with how it turned out. You can click on the images and then zoom in to read the pages.

Happy Spring!

I'm so happy it's been really nice outside in London the last few days. Spring is here finally! I think it will get a little chilly again, but we're definitely headed toward warmer weather. I will be very happy to put my sleeping bag coat away for a few months. This past weekend we spent the first afternoon in our back garden. We haven't spent much time in our garden since last summer, so it was great to pull out the picnic blanket and soak up the sun. We ate lunch, had some lovely cocktails (which I highly recommend making), and Lois and I started a little herb garden.

And Speaking of Decorating a Child's Room...

So finally, here's a peek into Ellie's room! First, I should say that I was going for a softer, lighter look than Lois's room. Her room as always had bold, primary sorts of colors. You can see her room here. That was her room in our first place in London, so it's not her current room, but she has all the same items but in a different configuration. Also, for Ellie's room, since I was working with little to start with, I decided to consult Pinterest (of course!).

Rooms for Wee Ones

A while back I wrote an article for 91Magazine on decorating children's rooms, and since I was out of town when it came out, I only recently realized I never shared the article. I'm still collecting little things here and there for Ellie's room and think I could use some of my own advice as a lot of it is piled up in a jumble of my own indecisiveness! If you're needing a little inspiration for decorating your wee one's room, here is the article.
