My Paper Quilt

My little collage is on its way to Dawn at the Paper Quilt Project. I'm really happy about the way it turned out! I have to give thanks to my sister for her input since she helped me sharpen up my idea. The collage is supposed to represent a day in my life, and I could only use the papers provided in the paper pack. Originally I was trying to create a design that involved me sitting at the table making cards and party hats because that's a pretty accurate representation of a day in my life. But I'm not that good with scissors (the collage is really small--index card size small). So my sister suggested that I design something representing just me wearing a party hat and reading a card. And this is how a day in my life turned out. I thought of putting something in the top left corner, but I preferred the open space after I tried a few different ideas. I decided to give myself ridiculously long eyelashes like the lady head vases I love because I just like them.

I'm really happy to be part of the Paper Quilt Project and look forward to seeing what organization ultimately receives the finished paper quilt. Just look at all the amazing little collages--I'd love to have them all!
