We have this unusual piece of furniture that I bought at The Pickled Hutch that we used to use as a bar. I'm not sure what it was originally built for, but it looks handmade, and I love it. It made a great bar (and I think it would make a good desk too), but I couldn't find a home for it in our new place, so I decided to make it an outdoor bar / potting table. I sanded it a bit, gave it a few coats of creamy ivory paint, and now it's our garden bar! Ready for some cute potted plants and lemonade or wine for guests. I want to have some potted plants on the side shelves, and maybe glasses on some of them, and then use the top as the bar. I think it turned out pretty well! Now we just have to get a nice table and and some chairs for the garden so we can sit and sip. You ready to join me on the patio?

Spring Pretties
Earlier this week I walked around the neighborhood and the park and snapped some pretty pictures of spring in bloom. Everything looks so colorful and bright these last few days. Here's a bit of what I saw.

Liberty!
YAY, we have the internet again at our place!! You know what that means, right? That means I can catch up on blogs and spend entirely too much time online window shopping (uh, and paying bills and doing household stuff like that). Have you seen the new Liberty of London line for Target? I love it! It's probably been swirling around on blogs, but I had my first peek yesterday. I love Liberty fabric and the Liberty store here in London, but the real deal is a wee bit out of my price range, so I'm super excited to see some Liberty at Target. Looks promising, don't you think? Unfortunately almost everything is out of stock. Guess I'm not the only one who's into it. Liberty for him, her, baby and home! See it here at Target.

We'll Always Have Paris
We're back home in London now but had a great, long weekend trip in Paris. Since we've been a few times before, and had already done a lot of the touristy things, we mostly strolled around the city and peeked into shops and took many breaks for tasty treats. Here are a few more pictures from our Paris weekend. We still don't have internet access at our place, so like our trip I've had to keep this post short but sweet. Hopefully I'll be back to writing longer posts later this week.

Greetings From Paris!
Yesterday we had our first day out in Paris. We walked and walked until we got rained and hailed on and raced home. The day started great, then a quick storm, then the sun and blue sky again. It was a beautiful day. We walked all along the Champs Elysees, went to the Arc de Triomphe, and walked along the Seine. After our morning out, we came back to the hotel for a bit so Lois could take a nap, but then we went back out later and watched the sunset over the Eiffel Tower. A great start to a Paris weekend. Here are a few pictures from our day.
