A New Pickled Hutch Revealed

This weekend Lisa opened the Pickled Hutch at its new ocean side location in Pacifica. It's a great space, and she and all her helpers did an amazing job packing and moving from the old space and then quickly unpacking and arranging the new space in one very short week. Here are just a few pictures from around the new Hutch.

I LOVE this bird cage, which is not for sale by the way. It's so tall, I could stand up in it. Lisa's going to make it a light fixture by hanging a chandelier in the inside of it.

I love the picture railing she installed. I always like seeing pictures hung from real picture railing.

You should have seen how quickly but how well Lisa can whip up a decorated corner of the shop. This was one of the first areas we got together. It took about 15 minutes.

Lisa bought these cute bird on branch decals (was it a decal or stencil?, I can't remember actually). I thought it looked really good next to the enamel tins and pitchers.

Lisa got lots of flowers from friends on opening day. Congratulations to Lisa! I'll be visiting often.

Pickled Hutch Picks of the week 3/20

I love pink and orange. You'd never know it if you came to our apartment, though. I also like earth tones, and that's mostly what our place reflects. But here's a splash of pink and orange from the Pickled Hutch just in time for spring. I think sfgirlbybay would like the little pink tufted pillow. Today's pink and orange made me think of her place. These adorable pillows are $6 each.

How cute would this hot pink hamper be in a little girl's room? Or a grown up girl's room! $42
Small Pyrex containers. $10 each.

Pickled Hutch Picks of the Week - 3/14

My Pickled Hutch picks are clear and bright this week.

For some reason, I tend to like lamps with bulbous centers on an otherwise narrow stand. These do double bulbous duty, and I like them. $95 for the pair.

What a cool 1950's cart! The bottom shelf is mirrored, while the top is glass. Bar tote. I like it. $135

This chandelier is actually on hold till this afternoon, but I still wanted to show it (who knows, maybe it could be yours). I especially like the one purple crystal in the bottom, center. $225

Pickled Hutch Picks of the Week - 3/5

Things were looking peachy today at The Pickled Hutch. Here are my picks this week.

Pendant lamp. $165.
Vintage fabric quilt top hand sewn by a sweet grandma. $185.

Iron gate. $85. I think it would be neat to make this into a side table, like Paula's but smaller.

Pickled Hutch Picks of the Week - 2/27

I love my Pickled Hutch picks this week! Well, I always love them, but this week, Julie, someone who's starting to sell her things at the Hutch filled the garden cottage with all kinds of great things. Here are a few of them. Julie just brought these in, so some of them aren't priced yet, but I still wanted to show them.

I love this vase! It's so heavy. I love the color and the shape.

I'm crazy about this metal cart. I actually have it on hold until Julie gets back to me about it. I have the perfect idea for the cart, which I'll tell you about when I find out if I'm going to get it.

Chippy green metal brackets. All you need is a board to go on top.

Dixie Dogwood

This morning we had some friends over for brunch, and I was really excited to use our new Dixie Dogwood plate setting. I've had my eye on them for a while a the Pickled Hutch, but my interest in them waned when someone bought only the sugar and creamer. Alas, I really wanted the full set. Even without the sugar and creamer, I decided to go ahead and get the rest of the set. I knew the print was fairly common, and Lisa told me I could probably find the sugar and creamer pretty easily. So tonight I looked for them on ebay and found them! Lots of Dixie Dogwood out there, but I found the one listing for a sugar and a creamer. Now we'll have to have friends over again soon.

Knobby and bright are my Pickled Hutch picks this week. These bar flies are just too cute. $24.

Pickled Hutch Picks of the Week - 1/29

For my Pickled Hutch picks this week, my favorite thing is partly missing. I took a picture of the adorable little glasses that come as a set with this martini pitcher, but I didn't get it off the card reader before Andrew took the camera out of town. The glasses are adorable, though. They're round and a little smaller than a tennis ball. The set of 4 glasses with the pitcher is $52. Did someone say, pomtini time? (Pomegranate martini's that is--they're pom wonderful.)

Old suitcases. Great for storage. Find one more to make three, stack them, and you have a nice little side table. The small one is $35 and the larger one is $45.

Floor lamp with ivory drum shade. I like the bulbous marble knob. I didn't write down the price, whoops. I'll have to ask Lisa.

In the spirit of Halloween, an adorable girl on a pumpkin. $25
Dear French bloggers, I love you, and this picture reminds me of you. Victorian wooden stool. $75. I think this would make a great plant stand on a table or, like you see here, a shell stand.
Pretty tissue holder. $12.
