Popsicles!

Between unpacking and exploring our new neighborhood and getting ready for the baby, we've been having fun making popsicles. We bought a Zoku popsicle maker, which freezes popsicles in under 10 minutes (above is strawberry-lime). My favorite part has been looking forward to different recipes. They're all really simple, but it's fun to have some kind of small treat to look forward to. And it's really fun for Lois too. She's just old enough to help (and actually be helpful) and her attention span is long enough to make a batch of popsicles. We've made peaches-n-cream, cherries-n-cream, grapefruit-mint, strawberry-lime, chocolate-banana, and creamy maple-banana. Some of those are from their recipe book, some from their blog, and a few we just made up. It's been a lot of fun, and I think I'm on my way to becoming a  Zoku door to door salesman I'm so excited about it!

Little Bundle on the Way

We're getting settled into our new place, slowly but surely. You can probably tell here where the slowly comes in... I have a bun in the oven! I've been meaning to post about it, but ah, like so many things, I've gotten behind and haven't mentioned it yet. So there it is, more news from across the pond. Lois will have a baby sister late August. She is sooo excited that "her baby" is coming soon. This photo was about 4 weeks ago, so my bump is quite a bit bigger now. We're busy getting our new place ready for the baby. This house is more spacious than our last place so we've needed to buy a few things, and the walls are apparently made of either concrete or paper (depending on the room), making it hard to hang anything at all. I had a handyman come over with a drill about the size of Lois to hang some of the heavier things, and I'm hoping to have him back soon for some more picture hanging. I'll have a few before and after pictures in the next few weeks and more baby updates soon too. I pulled out the sewing machine and hope to make a few fun things for her later this week.
